Dr. Amen completed his residency at Stony Brook University to train in Sports and Rehabilitation medicine of the musculoskeletal system. He then went on to complete his fellowship training at George Washington University Hospital in DC to further specialize in interventional spine and pain medicine.

Dr. Amen now specializes in treating a broad range of musculoskeletal pain complaints including back, neck, shoulders, knee, wrist and hand complaints. He also specializes in interventional procedures such as epidural steroids, joint injections and PRP.
