Dr. Timothy D. Groth is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist with decades of clinical and leadership experience. He is the founder and medical director of Groth Pain & Spine. Dr. Groth has been in private practice since 2006, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across Long Island.

Dr. Groth earned his B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed his M.D. at New York University School of Medicine. He went on to complete residency training in anesthesiology and fellowship training in pediatric and obstetric anesthesia, as well as chronic pain, at the University at Stony Brook School of Medicine.

Before establishing his practice, Dr. Groth held key roles including Chief of Anesthesia at North Shore Surgi-Center and Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Central Suffolk Hospital. His leadership contributions span multiple hospital committees, including Quality Assurance and Credentials, and he has directed numerous departmental initiatives in pain education and residency training. Dr. Groth remains dedicated to providing individualized care that prioritizes patient comfort, functionality, and quality of life.
