More Than a treatment: A Step Toward Relief

CONDITIONS TREATED:

The Linq procedure is indicated for patients who suffer from sacroiliac joint dysfunction, which is a common cause of chronic low back pain. SIJ joint dysfunction is when the SI joint moves too much, causing pain.

Patients usually describe their pain as below the belt line and worse with sitting for too long, bending, and getting in and out of the car. This condition is common in patients who have had lumbar fusions, women who have children, and patients with leg length discrepancies.

• Low Back, Hip or Leg Pain
• Postpartum Pain
• Inability to sit for long periods of time due to pain
• Failed previous treatments or interventional therapies

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

The benefits of the Linq procedure include a significant reduction in pain caused by SI joint dysfunction, particularly for patients who have not found relief from other treatments. The Linq procedure has a minimally invasive approach performed as an outpatient procedure, allowing most patients to go home the same day. It also has a relatively short recovery time. The LinQ™ procedure offers several benefits compared to traditional SI joint surgery:

• Posterior approach away from nerves and large blood vessels
• Minimally invasive
• No metal implanted
• Fast recovery time
• Proven effective results

UNDERSTANDING THE PROCEDURE

HOW DOes the LinQ™ SI Joint Stabilization System WORK?

The LinQ™ SI Joint Stabilization System provides SI joint dysfunction patients with a minimally invasive solution to combat pain. After a thorough diagnostic process, physicians can help alleviate, and in many cases, eliminate chronic pain by placing a single LinQ™ allograft into the SI joint.

This single implant helps patients immediately regain joint stability – and with its patented large graft window and drill-less technology, the LinQ™ SI Joint Stabilization System helps create an ideal environment for long-term fusion.

The entire procedure is done through a small incision on the patient’s back. Patients leave the hospital or surgery center the same day, shortly after surgery and can usually resume daily living activities within a couple of weeks, depending on how well they are healing and based on their physician’s orders.

GROTH PAIN & SPINE

The LinQ™ SI Joint Stabilization System

The Linq procedure is a minimally invasive surgery designed to treat pain caused by the sacroiliac (SI) joint—a joint in your lower back that connects your spine to your pelvis. Problems with this joint (SI joint dysfunction) can be a source of chronic low back pain. During the procedure: A special implant is placed across the SI joint to stabilize it. The implant works like a “door stop,” limiting movement and encouraging bone growth so the joint fuses naturally over time.
