Dr. Pawan Marfatia
Pain Management Physician
Dr. Pawan Marfatia is a fellowship-trained pain medicine physician at Groth Pain & Spine with a background in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. A Long Island native who grew up in Bellmore, he is dedicated to helping patients manage their pain, improve their function, and return to the activities that matter most to them. Dr. Marfatia earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021. He completed a transitional year at Northwell Health’s Peconic Bay Medical Center, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
His clinical areas of focus include low back and neck pain, lumbar and cervical radiculopathy, lumbar and cervical facet arthropathy, abdominal pain, and facial pain. Through his training in rehabilitation and pain medicine, Dr. Marfatia brings a focus on both pain relief and restoring everyday function to his work with patients.
